Then pack up that blanket, slam down those books, grab your friends and climb in the car — it's time to take advantage of all the great summer destinations the Centre County region has to offer.

Residents of State College will be treated to a celebration of the written language as the first annual Wordstock comes to a poetic beginning today.
Poets from the Keystone State will be coming together for "An Afternoon of Pennsylvania Poets." The poetry reading will be to benefit the Centre County Women's Resource Center from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Webster's Bookstore Café.
