Late last week, residents and resident assistants in Pollock Halls reported obscene messages and graffiti found on the walls of Beaver and Wolf Halls, according to Penn State Police Services.

Juan Maldonado, 53, of State College, pleaded no contest in Centre County Court on Monday to 99 counts of indecent assault of a child under 13, two counts of corruption of minors, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of indecent exposure, said the Patton Township Police Department.

Song Tan, assistant professor of biochemistry, has been selected as a 2001 Pew Scholar in the Biomedical Sciences. Tan is the first Penn State professor to receive this honor.

The State College Police Department announced traffic patterns and traffic delay areas surrounding Beaver Stadium for tomorrow's Fourth of July firework's display.

Former Nittany Lion volleyball player Julie Miller has been named an assistant coach for the Penn State women's volleyball team. Head coach Russ Rose made the announcement yesterday.
