Letter to the Editor
Person behind racist letter has hurt everyone at PSU

I have been a student Penn State for two years. I have never in all of my time here would have guessed that some sick person would commit such a despicable act against a student. It infuriates me to think that I came to this good university to witness the unimaginable acts that are destroying the reputation of this educational institution. I cannot believe that such an intolerable offense could happen here in Happy Valley.

The vulgar choice of words to describe the town and university as, ". . .a white academy in a white town in a white country and be God it is going to stay that way" is an insult to all of us in the Penn State family. The glove has slapped us in the face and our name has been dragged through the mud. I myself do not take it lightly and I do not think the rest of the community does either.

I see this person as a spineless yellow-belly snake in the grass. This person has violated the rights of another human. This person, who I hope is not a Penn State student, is a low-life sack of maggots. The thought that another person can think this way makes me physically ill. We are a united family here at Penn State and we must show this heartless, closed minded, ignorant dog that this family will not stand for it. The Penn State family must unite and make a definitive stand against this person to let him know that he has hurled one stone at the entire faculty, staff, student body, alumni and residents of this town and university. We must show this disgusting person that this is not tolerated at Penn State, in Pennsylvania, or in the United States of America.
