Twenty-six people protesting the university's response to recent racist death threats were arrested Saturday afternoon in Beaver Stadium at the start of the Blue-White game.

A black Penn State student leader received a typed death threat Friday afternoon that not only threatened the black community at Penn State, but also claimed that a young black man had been killed and his body left in a wooded area in Centre County.
Students band together at rally

Most dedication ceremonies draw dignitaries. Saturday morning's event just happened to draw one back from the dead. Sort of.

About 400 students, children and adults came out yesterday to participate in Habitat for Humanity's House Walk, a five-mile walk that raised money for the Penn State chapter's House Project.

The HUB lawn was the center of environmental consciousness on campus yesterday as students and community members gathered to celebrate Earth Day.

It was a deep blue child-sized T-shirt, delicately pinned to a clothesline inside Pollock Rec Room. On the shirt were painted the words: "This is how little I was when you raped me."

A new Olive Garden will move into the Centre Region by the end of 2001 or early 2002.

Resembling a high-budget science fair, Penn State University researchers, scientists and students turned the HUB Heritage Hall into a world of exploration on Saturday during Space Day 2001.

If Saturday's Blue-White game was any indication of what is to come this fall, the Penn State football team will be putting up some big numbers next season.

A number of Penn State football players were missing in action Saturday at the Blue-White game because of injury, but some were out of the annual football scrimmage because of poor performance in the classroom.

At least for now, Matt Senneca can put his critics to bed.

Although the protest aimed at educating the Penn State community of the growing racial tension on campus and asking Penn State administration to provide a better setting for diversity, many football players, initially, didn't understand what was happening.

The No. 13 Penn State men's volleyball swept New York University (30-19, 33-31, 30-22) Saturday night in the first round of the EIVA tournament.

In the first two games of a four-game series with No. 25 Ohio State in Columbus over the weekend, Penn State pounded the ball and played solid defense to steal two wins from the third-place Buckeyes.

On Saturday at Yurcak Field in New Brunswick, N.J., the team Penn State men's lacrosse coach Glenn Thiel wanted to see all year finally showed.

The Penn State softball team resembled the weather in State College this weekend. It started out dark, but kept getting progressively brighter.
McCann breaks season wins record

Georgetown taught the Penn State women's lacrosse team a lesson on Friday. And in yesterday's game against Lafayette, the Nittany Lions showed they had been paying attention.

It may have rained and it may have been muddy, but neither of these things stopped the music and activities that were Movin' On, Saturday at Pollock field.

Our Lady Peace tugged at the heartstrings of a crowd of about 800 people at Movin' On Saturday night with an energetic performance.

On The Daily Show, Jon Stewart is alternately suave, probing, witty, childish, controlled and charming. On stage, he is just side-splittingly hilarious.
