Letter to the Editor
Racist threats won't stop fight against hateful acts

There are too many things in life that we take for granted. Of the many things we need to worry about, a threat to our lives should never be one.

For many students on this campus, a letter has told them to fear a walk from one class to the other. But they won't. A letter has said that they should hide. But they won't. A letter has tried to take away their freedom to live. But it hasn't. I am proud to have been with the Black Caucus Saturday as they stood up for their freedom and their lives. They showed that they weren't scared of a coward who cannot show his face.

In a university lacking unity, they are trying to bring back the only thing that can unify us. And that is love. Love for everyone, no matter who they are or what skin color they have. They have unified in the pride of love.

I ask everyone at Penn State, no matter if you are a student or faculty member, help give strength to a unity that can only get stronger. Help give love to a university needing it so badly. Help give your pride to stand with your brother or your sister and show that we will not back down to hate.

I please ask you to be there when we stand "For No Hate at Penn State" at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Old Main steps.

Find strength, love and power with unity of all.
