Center for Supply Chain Research to open doors

The former Center for Logistics Research in Penn State's Smeal College of Business Administration will begin operating today under its new name — the Center for Supply Chain Research.

The Center for Supply Chain Research (CSCR) began in 1989 and is organized within Smeal College's Division of Research. The center is a research community of scholars and practitioners working to shape practice in logistics and supply chain management. Faculty members from several different academic areas and other universities are involved.

The name change will involve the introduction of a new wordmark and visual identity system, said William Grenoble, executive director of the CSCR, in the release. The center's new campaign will integrate both offline and online marketing disciplines to establish the name to current and prospective clients on a global basis.
