Cardboard signs stood tall among a crowd of about sixty men, women and children yesterday at the Old Main steps during the spring rally of the Graduate and Fixed-Term Employee Organization (GFTEO).

Penn State's endowment grew by 23 percent during the 2000 fiscal year to just under $1 billion, according to a national report due out in full next month.

Sometimes people steal the actual telephone, which is plugged into a normal telephone jack outside the shop at 512 E. College Ave.

Two Penn State students are scheduled to have their preliminary hearings today after an alleged fight last month that resulted in one of the student's eyebrows being bitten off.

A homeless man will have a preliminary hearing today for allegedly causing a fire in the back woods of the Toftrees Resort, 1 Country Club Lane. The fire burned about five acres of land.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Mike Fisher yesterday presented a $70,000 check to the Centre County Women's Resource Center.

Some may call her the comeback kid in singles tennis. Others may charge that she doesn't take doubles action seriously. Whatever the case, Janelle Perez simply wins.

With four games remaining in the season, the Penn State men's lacrosse team is already playing with its original goal out of reach.

The Penn State baseball team received a scare yesterday as head coach Joe Hindelang was hospitalized after complaining of "nausea and generally feeling ill."

The Penn State women's track team dove deep into the Sea Ray Relays at the University of Tennessee this past weekend. Top performances were given in several events, and the team shaped up well against excellent competition.
