Letter to the Editor
Inappropriate use of the Bible in judgment of George W. Bush: Letter 4

I couldn't help but respond to Tim Trader's assault on the morality of our president. I agree that President Bush has shortcomings just like any other person. However, if you wanted to make any serious claims against the rich man's son who got elected, then maybe Trader should have quoted a real Bible passage instead of a fictional one from an obscenely violent movie. Regardless, Bush is far from trying to become "our personal American Jesus." After eight years of a scoundrel leader sliming his way through the oval office, "Dubya" has been forced to redefine the role of president of the United States into a position of integrity and moral leadership. If he succeeds, it will be step forward in knocking down the jungle gym of sin and turned cheeks that runs so rampant through our society. I commend President Bush for taking on such an ambitious task.
