Letter to the Editor
Task of 'moral educator' now left to the borough
Erica Sperazza's letter on Wednesday typifies the immature rationale that many students use to excuse their idiotic behavior. Sperazza assumes that because she is 21 years old, she is therefore a mature adult. However, later in her letter she says that "there are plenty of 40-year-olds that act like children too." By her own admission, the argument that age defines maturity and adulthood is rendered useless. The recent riot only demonstrates how immature many of the students of this university are. Four thousand morons actively participated in the riot, and many more who defended their obnoxious and destructive behavior (as seen in many recent letters to the editor). Because these students no longer live with their parents, and have chosen to abuse their freedom, they have forced the task of moral educator upon the borough.
