Theft: Bastian Tires Inc., 260 W. Hamilton Ave., reported at 9 a.m. yesterday the theft of cash and checks from its office by an employee, the State College Police Department said. Police would not comment on the amount stolen.

Charges Filed: Penn State students Matthew Hrenkevich, 19, and Ronald Grzywacz, 20, were charged yesterday with making obscene phone calls to two women, Penn State Police Services said. Both men face two counts of harassment and two counts of criminal conspiracy.
