For the fourth year in a row, Penn State has been named the nation's top-ranked university in the number of alumni donors, according to a survey by the Council for Aid to Education.
For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2000, 71,423 Penn State Alumni supported the university with gifts totaling $50.7 million.
Penn State first emerged in the top position in the Council for Aid to Education in 1997 when Penn State had 78 more donors than Harvard University.
This year, Harvard University holds the second ranking with donations from 66,138 of its alumni.
