'Alcohol-induced emotions' caused Beaver Canyon riot

Doesn't it seem funny that last Sunday when PSU made it to the Sweet 16, there were no riots in Beaver Canyon, yet on Friday night, there was one? One of the biggest reasons is that on Sunday nights, people are less likely to drink. Most of the students were in their homes, watching the game and going to bed early to prepare for Monday classes.

However, the Temple game was on Friday night and both bars and parties were in full swing. Obviously (and sadly) the riots are a direct consequence of alcohol-induced emotions and the students get a bad rap for it. Yes, I think it's sad that people would want to go and vandalize parts of downtown State College, but I also think this university needs to look at why they do so.
