Ballot position for the candidates of this year's Undergraduate Student Government Senate elections will possibly have a large impact on the candidates' chances of winning.

The large number of students running for town senator positions has stirred up questions from many students about alliances among certain candidates.

Sitting around in a circle last Tuesday night, students in African and African-American Studies 496: Civil Disobedience: Social Justice and Personal Action listened to a CD with often explicit lyrics of popular hip-hop artists. Afterwards, students' tempers sometimes flared as they debated the stereotypes portrayed in the lyrics.

Hungry students may have to soon walk an extra block to satisfy their late-night pizza cravings.

Last night Rec Hall might not have been completely full of people but the sounds of Guster filled the entire building and left fans and those only recently introduced to the Boston-based group — many soon-to-be followers — full of appreciation for the trio.

No matter who wins, leaders of campus minority student groups want newly elected Undergraduate Student Government representatives to uphold proposed initiatives to foster diversity on campus after tomorrow's election.

Various campus organizations of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender students and their allies met with university administrators last Tuesday night, asking that the opening of the new LGBTA Student Resource Center be put on hold until additional resources become available.

Love it or hate it, group work can be very beneficial.
