Letter to the Editor
Alumni, residents embarrassed by students in riot: Letter 7
The editorial yesterday concerning the riot was accurate and timely. As a graduate of Penn State in 1969, I can assure you that we never did anything like the actions of these few students in the last couple of years. The time is now to stop this and to suspend these students and throw them out of school, regardless of their class status. There should be zero tolerance in these cases and immediate dismissal is what sends the message loud and clear that this type of behavior is unbecoming and hurts the university, the student body, the image and character of the school and only provides fuel to our critics around the country to tarnish our excellent reputation. Enough allready, you need to continue to express opinions like this and get the word out that we will not tolerate this behavior. We are Penn State.
