Fair market value decision regarding USG overturned

A decision agreed upon last Wednesday by the special elections court concerning fair market value in the Undergraduate Student Government elections was overturned on Sunday.

The USG Supreme Court heard the case of the commission and the original decision was dropped when the appeal filed by the commission was heard.

The fair market values for the purchases of certain items for the campaigns of the candidates are back to the original set price, whether or not a receipt accompanies the purchase.

If a candidate gets an item such as a flyer for 2 cents each and has a receipt, the fair market value of 5 cents will be used regardless.
