Police Log

  • Disorderly Conduct: A female customer exchanged insults and kicks with a clerk at a downtown business Wednesday after the clerk refused her credit card, the State College Police Department said. According to police, the incident occurred at a business at 538 E. College Ave.

    Pennsylvania Pizza, the Bottle Shop and John Henry's Neighborhood Bar are located at 538 E. College Ave.

    According to police, when the clerk refused to accept the woman's credit card, she responded by commenting to other customers in the store about the man's appearance saying, "Isn't he the ugliest thing you ever saw?"

    The clerk asked the woman to leave and began ushering her to the door, whereupon she began kicking him. He proceeded to kick her back, police said.

  • Criminal Mischief: Unknown persons inside apartments at the Graduate, 119 S. Burrowes St., have been firing potatoes at the Atherton Hotel, 125 S. Atherton St., State College police said. There have been numerous reports of the firings, police said.

  • Hit and Run: A Penn State staff member reported her car was struck while it was parked near the Mitchell Building between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. yesterday, Penn State Police Services said.

    The damage is estimated at $1,924.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
