Art Alliance presents new exhibit, offers class

The Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania is presenting a group art exhibit and is also adding a new painting class to its spring art education program.

Go Figure opens at 7 p.m. tonight with a reception.

The exhibit continues through the weekend from noon to 5 p.m. according to an Art Alliance press release.

Featuring unique individual representations of the human form, the exhibit evolved from the Wednesday evening "Open Model Session" at the Art Alliance studio.

The exhibit will be held at the Art Alliance Center, 818 Pike St., Lemont. For more information call Connie McGeorge at 234-2740.

Also according to the Art Alliance press release, "Folk Art Painting" is a new class designed to teach students traditional folk art techniques and designs.

It is taught by Yun Ja Jun, an experienced teacher of American and Australian art.

The class runs from Tuesday to May 15, and meets every Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Art Alliance Center.

The cost of the class is $80. Those interested in registering should contact Mardy Shaw at 238-0009.
