Police Log

  • Criminal Mischief: A sign was reported stolen from the 600 block of West College Avenue, the State College Police Department said.

    The sign read "No Parking in Rear" and is valued at $300.

  • Disorderly Conduct: A man was cited for inappropriate conduct Sunday after antagonizing a rottweiler, State College Police said.

    The man approached a dog in the back of a truck and continued to harass the dog with barking noises.

    The owner of the vehicle confronted the man and punched him after he refused to stop, police said.

    When police arrived on the scene the man acknowledged he was out of line, police said.

  • Theft: A Penn State visitor reported his vehicle was stolen from outside Nittany Hall on Saturday, Penn State Police Services said.

    The car's estimated value is $2,000.

  • Theft: A staff member reported the theft of hockey equipment from the Greensburg Ice Rink, Penn State police said.

    The value of the stolen equipment is $300.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
