Lawless' answers on PNC not academic, intellectual
I wasn't surprised with Rep. Lawless' dazzling display of rhetorical circumlocution during the Pennsylvania Cable Network callin show on Thursday, March 1. I was one of the callers, and I asked Rep. Lawless two questions: First, why do you assume that all the students who set up Sex Faire and attended it are guilty of moral turpitude while most of these students are the same ones that participated in other events such as Thon? Second, during the entire time that Penn State has experienced several disturbing racial incidents, why haven't you responded or made a statement about them? Lawless vagrantly ignored my questions and talked about how he has made the "rounds" at the majority of the institutions of higher education. Rep. Lawless demands "academic" and "intellectual" dialogue with his opponents, but yet, when confronted head on with "academic" and "intellectual" facts, his responses are those of an expert politician: meaningless and insubstantial.
