Writer's attack on China shows hegemonic attitude
It is actually not surprising to see again how some Americans try to tie together a picture of China and the Chinese government with labels promoted by many American media, which are mostly fabricated, unverified and anti-history. Nor is it surprising to see the indication of a hegemonic attitude manifested in the U.S.' efforts to sanction countries with different world views and perspectives. It is, however, surprising to see that people are still ignorant of the fact that democracy is socially constructed, and the government here in this "free land" is not exempt from ugliness and injustice. Therefore, I am compelled to conclude that, if America is still a nation of ignorance, then Americans' answer to any games awarded to China must be boycott.
