In an attempt to reduce midday crowding on Town and Campus Loop buses, the Centre Area Transportation Authority today begins an experimental fare-free zone for five Centre Line routes.

It has been said that people's biggest fear is public speaking. One class at Penn State attempts to ease these fears through a broad-based approach to practicing communications skills.

The Senate Committee on Research presented its courseware policy to the university's Faculty Senate during a recent meeting.

Students flying back on Northwest Airlines from spring break today were spared a traveler's worst headache. An executive order signed by President George W. Bush Friday stayed a possible disruption of service by Northwest Airlines mechanics.
