Joe Crispin said he wasn't nervous.
Titus Ivory, however, had knots in his stomach.
And Gyasi Cline-Heard sat on he edge of his chair with the anticipation of finding where and when Penn State would be playing in this the 2001 NCAA Tournament.
"I wasn't nervous," Crispin said. "I knew we were in and it just a matter of where we were going to play."
All three watched the NCAA Tournament Selection Show from the media lounge in The Bryce Jordan Center.
"Yeah, I was a little nervous," Ivory said. "You start to sweat a little bit, hoping they're going to call your name and hoping they didn't forget you."
The Lions' seventh seed did not come as much of a surprise to Penn State head coach Jerry Dunn, who figured they would be placed in that area in the March Madness tournament.
"We're extremely happy to be in," Penn State head coach Jerry Dunn said. "I figured we would be between a seven and a 10 seed. Providence is good team with a coach in Tom Welsh.
We would not be in this position today if it were not for these three guys," he said. "Each one of these guys have given so much to this program. I am so happy for them."
With all three on the verge of their first NCAA Tournament, none of them are quite sure of what to expect, which makes the entire feeling better.
"You know, I have had some of my friends who have gone and told me about it and how great it is," Cline-Heard said. "But you don't really know what it's like until you experience it for yourself and that is what we all have wanted since we got here."
