Police Log

  • Criminal Mischief: A university staff member reported Friday damage to a side mirror on her vehicle, Penn State Police Services said. Police estimated the damage at $300.

  • Theft: A State College resident reported Saturday the theft of several items from his residence in the 100 block of South Barnard Street, the State College Police Department said.

    Police said there were signs of a forced entry and believe the incident occurred while the residents were away between March 3 and Saturday. Police said the value of the stolen items is $2,600.

  • Theft: A visitor at Rec Hall reported March 3 the theft of his shoulder bag, said Penn State police. Police said the bag was stolen sometime between 9 and 9:45 p.m. the same day. The stolen item is valued at $300.

  • Theft: A Penn State student reported March 1 the theft of his car radio from his vehicle parked in Lot 10, said Penn State police. Police said the theft occurred between Feb. 28 at 10 p.m. and March 1 at 7 a.m. The value of damage is unknown.

  • Theft: A university staff member reported March 1 the theft of a card door access reader from an entrance at Snyder Hall, said Penn State police. The value of the item and time it was taken is unknown.

  • Assault: A Penn State student reported that she was assaulted near Althouse Lab on Feb. 26 at 9:30 p.m., said Penn State police.

    The officer investigating the case would not comment on the nature of the assault and said the report is too incomplete as this time to make any speculation regarding any details.
