A six-week program teaching ballroom dance begins today in the all-purpose room of Park Forest Elementary School, 2181 School Drive.
Classes will be conducted Monday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. until April 16.
The College of Health and Human Development is offering the course, which will teach basic steps for the waltz, the foxtrot, the cha-cha and the jitterbug.
Students will also be taught the historical context of each dance.
An additional section of the class will run from April 23 to May 29 in the Penn State Center for Outreach and Cooperative Extension in Lewistown.
