Police cite elderly woman in weekend traffic crash

An 87-year-old woman was involved in a traffic accident Saturday and was cited for a vehicle violation, the State College Police Department said.

Elsa Lisle, a State College resident, was making a left turn into her driveway in the 1800 block of East College Avenue when she slammed into the vehicle of a Boalsburg woman. Lisle was extracted from her car and complained of abdominal pain. The woman struck by Lisle, 22-year-old Irina Kurbatova, suffered abrasions on her right arm and complained of head pain after her head hit the windshield, State College police said. Alpha Community Ambulance Service took both drivers to Centre Community Hospital.

Kurbatova also received two citations for driving without a valid license.
