[Friday,
March 2, 2001 ] Today's
University Park forecast
Dry, tranquil weather conditions across the
region will be the story through the beginning of Spring
Break. Two storms will affect the area in the next week,
but will provide nothing more than clouds. The first
disturbance will skirt to our north today and move off
the coast tonight. A second, stronger storm will form to
our south late in the weekend, but should move out into
the Atlantic.

Highlight
March definitely came in like a lion on
this date in 1975. A tornado ripped through the
governor's mansion in Atlanta, GA and the surrounding
areas. The storm was responsible for three deaths and
over 56 million dollars in damage.
