Smokers, respect others, especially nonsmokers
After another weekend of hanging out in State College, I felt the need to share my disgust with the smoking community. To tell you the truth, I don't care if smoking kills the smoker. That's what you get for ingesting the cancerous smoke and poisons. But what about the nonsmokers like myself? Not only are you killing yourselves, you're poisoning the rest of the community with your toxic fumes. I love how smokers believe in some sort of common courtesy in which they won't smoke while others are eating. That's nice of them. It would also be nice if smoke wasn't blown in my face the moment they light up when everyone stops eating. Smokers enjoy blowing smoke in others' faces. In fact, I've seen many smokers blow smoke in the faces of others when they're angry or joking around. You have to love the tactics there: "I'm angry with you, so I'll give you cancer." Now, in defense of smokers, if I don't like it, I can go somewhere else. True, but why should I have to be the one that leaves. I propose sticking all the smokers in a small room with no ventilation, where they can poison themselves together. I don't mean a smoking section, like many establishments already have. We should ban smoking in public places, and just have "the cancer room," as it shall be called. In the cancer room, smokers could do what they like. At least they won't be poisoning me anymore.
