I was appalled by Joshua Miller's crack at NASCAR in his Wednesday column about the price of sporting tickets. Miller writes, "Attendance in the four major sports (sorry, NASCAR) are down," obviously commenting on his opinion of stock car racing.
Did he bother to reflect on Dale Earnhardt's tragic death this Sunday at the Daytona 500, and how inappropriate that comment would be?
Apparently he and his section editor did not. Whatever you think of the sport, Mr. Miller, show some respect for the dead, as well as a clue about what is going on in the sports world you write about.
