Rep. Lawless a hypocrite for arranging appearance

Rep. John Lawless will be sponsoring Dr. Laura's appearance via satellite in Harrisburg to voice her displeasure over the Sex Faire. I am left to wonder whether the self-appointed champion of taxpayer funds plans to spend any taxpayer funds on the visit from the talk show host.

Sure, even if Dr. Laura will be paying for the appearance herself, Lawless will appreciate the irony and hypocrisy of his actions. Lawless is outraged that such an offensive and shocking event such as the Sex Faire could be allowed to occur on Penn State property.

I'm not nearly as offended by the Sex Faire as I am by the musings of Dr. Laura, but Lawless apparently has no problem with offending people by allowing Schlessinger to speak on state property.

Why is it OK for Lawless to allow such a divisive and controversial person such as Dr. Laura to express her views on state property when Lawless himself has raised that very issue himself by causing a fuss over allowing a controversial event like the Sex Faire on state property?

Why is OK for Lawless to do so, but not for Penn State students? Why does Lawless have absolute right to free speech, but feels the need to suppress the right of others? There is nothing more dangerous than overzealous government officials treating adults like children. We don't need babysitters like Lawless, we need statesman who will protect our rights to free speech.
