Student says speaker served alcohol to minors

A student reported to Penn State Police Services that a guest speaker in the Thomas Building was furnishing alcohol to minors Wednesday night. However, police would not release a name because the investigation is continuing.

Robert Cohen, the self-proclaimed "Notmilk Man" and executive director of the Dairy Education Board, was speaking Wednesday night in the Thomas Building about milk and its health affects, but Cohen said he did not furnish alcohol to any minors.

Cohen said he gave a beer bottle to a student as a demonstration that milk consists of the same ingredients used to glue a label on the bottle. He had the student rip off the label and after the demonstration was finished, he took the bottle back, Cohen said. Cohen said that after the lecture he put the full bottle of beer in a box and threw it in the garbage outside the lecture room. Someone may have taken the bottle from the garbage after he left, Cohen said.

Cohen said Penn State police have not contacted him regarding any incident.
