[Thursday,
Feb. 22, 2001 ] Today's University Park
forecast
Another frigid day with some snow showers is
in store for Happy Valley as a low pressure system rides
up the Atlantic Coast. High pressure will build in behind
the low tomorrow, allowing for some peaks of sunshine. A
small disturbance will bring the chance for more snow
showers on Saturday. The next threat of significant
precipitation will come on Monday.

Weather
Highlight
Smoke and debris from a wildfire is
causing headaches for motorists and residents in central
Florida. Parts of Interstate 4, which connects Tampa,
Orlando, and Daytona Beach, had to be closed last weekend
when the fire rendered it impassible, and delays and
detours are expected to continue through Sunday.
Floridas continuing drought and the freezing
temperatures there earlier in the winter have provided
plenty of dead grass and brush to keep the fire going.
