Public displays of vaginas show love for female body
I write this letter in response to Gary L. Morella's blatant attack on women. First, no one is promoting a "public display of vaginas on this campus," although there is more than one piece of artwork on this campus that shows the penis in all its glory. What we as women are calling for is public respect for the people that have vaginas on this campus. What the "vagina monologuers" see as "common sense for their own good and that of their neighbors" is what a large portion of the general population is lacking. I fail to see how it is any different for a woman to love her vagina the way a man loves his penis. If you wish to discuss the vulgarity of women loving their vaginas, then perhaps we should discuss the lack of women's "public display" of this love. You won't see a woman making a "public display" of adjusting herself. You won't see a woman bragging about her "size." And you won't see a woman referring to her genitals in a multitude of silly nicknames. You too, Mr. Morella, must love vaginas on some level. After all, you seem to portray homosexuality as a sin, which leads me to assume you use, or will use, vaginas as "reproductive orifices" and not anuses. Mr. Morella, by calling the vagina a "waste orifice," you are entirely correct. After all, you sprang forth from one, did you not?
