As the sister of one of the dancers at Thon and the friend of other students participating in Thon, I eagerly read all about the event through The Collegian as well as things my brother was telling me.

As a freshman at a college in North Carolina, I could not attend Thon, but I awaited yesterday's online edition of The Collegian. What I saw impressed me and warmed my heart.

Too often, colleges and college students are put in the news for negative reasons, and we rarely hear about the good things that occur at college.

I am so proud of my brother, my friends, and the rest of the students and faculty who made Thon such a success. You have plenty to be proud of, Penn State!
