Letter to the Editor
Opponents of George Bush should accept presidency

I write this in response to yesterday's article featuring the 2000 election protesters and their hand-held signs questioning legitimacy and rendering "We are convinced that the election was stolen."

If we are going to talk about illegitimacy, let's talk about the inept and incompetent government people you put into office. The Clinton-Gore Administration was the most corrupt, immoral and tasteless administration in this country's history: the Lincoln bedroom scandals, infiltration of Communist money via Buddhist temples, perjury, etc. These last eight years were stolen from the American people. The Democrats punish those born of privilege, those of wealth and those who have been successful in life for their own gain, while coddling those who aren't ambitious enough to get off the couch.

What's done is done. The November election was fair and free. Is it honestly too much to ask of you to be adults and accept George W. Bush as your president? Just because the government hands over everything else you have in life doesn't mean they have to hand over the presidency.
