Police Log

  • Assault: A man was assaulted by an unknown actor Saturday night on the 300 block of East Calder Way, the State College Police Department said. The victim received nine stitches above his eye, police said.

  • Health and Safety: Penn State and State College police were notified yesterday of a male participant of the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon walking away without checking out from the event. Event workers were concerned he may have been confused. The man was later located by Thon staff and evaluated by Emergency Medical Services staff.

  • Theft: An individual reported yesterday a theft from an unlocked motor vehicle on the 100 block of South Gill Street, State College police said. The estimated value of stolen goods is $1,180.

  • Theft: A male passenger arriving at the University Park Airport reported cash stolen from his luggage Friday, Penn State Police Services said. The amount reported stolen was $900.

  • Theft: A student reported the theft of a cellular phone and cash from a room in the HUB-Robeson Center yesterday, Penn State police said. The phone and cash are valued at $285.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
