Penn State alumni William P. and Marilyn Guillet Ott recently established the George L. Guillet Professorship in Mechanical Engineering.

The professorship honors George Guillet, former Penn State professor of mechanical engineering from 1924 to 1944.

The Guillet professorship grants its holder with the funding and resources necessary for continuing and advancing his or her "contributions to teaching, research and public service."

Marilyn Guillet Ott, George Guillet's daughter, agrees that creating the professorship is a great way to give back to the university and to honor her father's memory.
