Police Log

  • Fraud: A State College resident reported $800 worth of unauthorized purchases on her credit card Friday, the State College Police Department said. Police said the victim reported the card was in her name, but was sent by the company to her ex-boyfriend.

  • Burglary: A State College resident reported the burglary of a 5-disc DVD changer, 11 DVDs and several signs, State College police said. The items, valued at $744, were taken from an unlocked apartment in the 100 block of North Gill Street early Friday morning.

  • Loitering and Prowling: A 23-year-old Virginia man was arrested Friday night for loitering and prowling after he allegedly pounded on the back door of a residence in the 400 block of East Foster Avenue, State College police said. He was held in lieu of $1,000 bail at the Centre County Prison and arraigned before District Justice Magistrate Bradley Lunsford.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
