Police are searching for a man accused of breaking the jaw of a 21-year-old Penn State student and then "cheering" about the assault, the State College Police Department said.
The assault, which police said was alcohol related, occurred Feb. 10 in front of Griller's in the 200 block of East Beaver Avenue. According to police, two other males were already fighting when the suspect approached them and struck one of the men, breaking his jaw. The suspect then "cheered," police said.
Police describe the suspect as a 5'9" white male with a dark complexion, short black hair and weighing about 160 pounds. Police believe he was wearing a black T-shirt, more than one necklace and earrings. The victim, who was taken to Centre Community Hospital, was treated and released.
