The Unitarian Universalist Church of Centre County, 780 Waupelani Extension, will host an open forum discussion on resolutions for the death penalty at 12:15 p.m. Sunday.

Members of several groups, including Amnesty International and the American Civil Liberties Union, plan to provide information concerning problems in the capital punishment system.

Concerned residents of the borough are encouraged to attend this event.

The meeting will precede a vote on the death penalty moratorium resolution at the State College Borough Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the borough council office.

At 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Allen Street Gates there will also be a rally in support of these resolutions.

These resolutions are also being presented to other local municipalities.
