[Thursday,
Feb. 15, 2001 ] Today's University Park
forecast
Rather dreary weather will hang
around for the next several days as a storm system moves
north from the Tennessee Valley. Some showers will fall
today before heavier rains arrive on Friday. Behind this
system, high pressure building in from Canada will usher
in colder air for the weekend but also provide some
sunshine. This high remains in place through the
beginning of next week..

Weather
Highlight
The storm that dumped up to 7 feet of
snow in parts of California moved on to Arizona
yesterday. Although it lost some of its punch, it still
managed to pound Flagstaff with 17 inches of snow by late
afternoon. Snow-packed and icy roads made driving
treacherous, requiring tire chains on some interstates.
