Ukranian author shares work tonight at HUB-Robeson

"Burlesque-Bluster-Buffoonery," affectionately called "Bu-Ba-Bu," is a Ukranian literary performance group. As a co-founder of this ensemble, Yuri Andrukhovych has made a tremendous impact on modern literary culture.

Ukranian-born Andrukhovych will be sharing some of his work tonight at 8 p.m. in the HUB-Robeson Center Auditorium. He will be reading from his various books of poetry and short stories, as one of the highlighted speakers in the Allegheny Mountains Reading Series. Refreshments will be served after the reading.

In addition, Andruvkhovych has written three highly acclaimed novels as well as one screenplay entitled Military March for an Angel. Andrukhovych's works have been translated into five languages.

Currently, Andrukhovych is in the Department of Slavic and Germanic Languages at Penn State as a Fulbright Scholar.
