Life could be better if only some things were different
I was inspired by Chris Bolla's column of "if onlys." So inspired, in fact, that I decided to compose my own list of stuff that would make life better. Jeez, things would be great, if only: The person with the most votes won an election. We wouldn't worry about whether we'd be able to play "Pin the Clitoris on the Vulva" and worry about more important things. Greeks wouldn't treat non-greeks like they're not even here (And, no, I don't want a bid). People would judge others on their personalities and not their clothes (And don't even try and say this doesn't happen). People could figure out a way to have fun without having to drink themselves into a coma. That girl in class with an opinion on everything wasn't the only one. People didn't feel the need to change themselves in order to fit in with the "cool" people. Men and women would realize that while they're different, they could still treat each other with respect. Gee, wouldn't that be great?
