Smeal College of Business associate professor Donald D. Bergh has been appointed associate editor of The Academy of Management Journal beginning July 1. Bergh, who joins more than 80 members of the Journal's editorial board from colleges and universities around the world, is the only Penn State professor on the board.
The AMJ, which focuses on empirical and theoretical approaches to management theory, is a research publication of the Academy of Management, a professional society composed of professors and doctoral students who conduct research and teach management at colleges, universities and research institutes, said Steve Infanti, coordinator of college relations for the Smeal College of Business.
Bergh, who has been in the department of management and organization since 1990, has taught courses on strategic management, mergers and acquisitions, research methods, and business and society. He will remain at Penn State while he edits the magazine.
