Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences recently added a new major and minor to help undergraduate students acquire the leadership skills necessary to get ahead in the work force.
This new "leadership development and communications" program will help students understand the many facets of leadership, including skills and competencies.
Students enrolled in this program will take courses in written and oral communications, quantification and natural sciences. These classes will teach leadership styles, technical and conceptual skills, human relations, behavioral and psychological styles.
The undergraduate minor requires 18 credits and stresses leadership development. This program works with any academic major and is designed for students that wish to acquire some leadership development instruction.
