A car hit a State College resident Saturday after he walked into traffic. The man told police he believed he was in The Truman Show and wanted to meet Jesus, the State College Police Department said.

Kyungwan Hong, 31, walked into the path of a car driving in the 1900 block of East College Ave. at 4:23 p.m. Saturday. A Pleasant Gap woman was driving 35 miles per hour east on East College Avenue when Hong walked out in front the car, police said.

Alpha Community Ambulance Service took Hong to Centre Community Hospital where he was treated for facial abrasions. Hong is no longer on the patient list at the hospital, and a hospital spokeswoman would not comment on whether Hong was given a psychological evaluation.
