Police are looking for two suspects in connection with a robbery investigation after a woman was mugged early yesterday morning.
A 20-year-old Penn State student was attacked and robbed at about 12:10 a.m. yesterday in the alley near the apartments on the 500 block of East Calder Way, the State College Police Department said in a press release.
The student was walking home alone when two men attacked her, the release said. One of the men reportedly distracted her while the second suspect ripped her backpack from her back.
The backpack contained a cellular phone, calculator and textbooks with an estimated value of $250.
Both suspects are white males between the age of 18 and 20 years old and about 6 feet tall, according to the release.
The first man has a lanky build and blonde hair and was reported as wearing baggy, blue jeans and a blue hooded sweatshirt with a logo on the front. The second suspect has a more muscular build with short dark hair, dark eyes and was wearing a dark colored coat.
Witnesses are asked to contact the State College Police at (814) 234-7150 or Centre County Crimestoppers at 1-877-99-Crime.
