The Fulbright Scholar Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, will send three Penn State professors abroad to lecture or conduct research.
In addition, six international Fulbright scholars received grants to teach, research and study at Penn State.
The Penn State faculty members who received Fulbright grants for the 2000-2001 academic year are:
- Chris J. Muscarella, professor of finance in the Smeal College of Business Administration, is lecturing at the Portuguese Catholic University in Portugal.
- Donald Arthur Streit, professor of mechanical and nuclear engineering, is conducting research and lecturing at the Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia.
- W. Bradley Thompson, assistant professor of communications, is lecturing and conducting research at the American University in Bulgaria.
