Women who seek revenge miss the point of equality

When I read Cassie Hepler's column, "Sex in the City has the right idea," I cannot say I was surprised.

It seems that through Miss Hepler's article, we are able to see that many 21st century women have it all wrong.

Women always seem to be seeking revenge with men that they mistakenly label as "equality." If a girl has sex with 40 guys, she is indeed a slut and also a fine candidate for numerous disgusting diseases.

Miss Hepler mentions the fine point that society does not regard men with such disgust when they have had 40 sexual partners. Sadly, this is true; however, if we are seeking an equality of standards, why are we seeking to become men by "trying to have sex like a man?"

Would it not be far better for our feminine equality to stop trying to be like men (i.e. be as slutty and disrespectful as some men are in their sexual dealings)?

I say that we as women should not be like men, but rather be better and uphold a need for a loving meaningful sexual relationship.

Also, not all men are dogs.

Of those men making up the non-dog male population, I am sure they do not desire to marry a woman who, for the sake of "having sex like a man" in the name of equality, has had 40 or more sexual partners.

The basic fact remains that meaningless sexual parleys with 40 different people is immoral, no matter your sex. We should not seek to build equality upon so shallow a point.
