Police Log

  • Criminal Mischief: Someone threw a piece of concrete through the third floor window of an apartment on the 500 block of E. College Ave. sometime Thursday night, the State College Police Department said. The shattered window, which was 8 feet by 10 feet in size, is valued between $800 and $1,000.

  • Theft: A contractor reported Thursday that 700 pounds of steel were stolen from between Whitmore and Davey Laboratories. The theft occurred sometime between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday. The value of the stolen steel has not been determined.

  • Theft: A Penn State reported the theft of his palm pilot during a party held Saturday night at the 600 block of E. College Ave., the State College Police Department said. The estimated value is $300.

  • Theft: A Penn State student reported the theft of a leather jacket and a Motorola cell phone at Acacia fraternity, 234 Locust Lane, early Sunday morning, said the State College police. Police said the value of the items is more than $200.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
