Weather
Highlight
Rare snow rollers typically found only
in Alaska and the Antarctic have recently been seen in
parts of Colorado and Kansas. A snow roller is made when
a large snowflake hits the ground, begins to roll, and
collects other snowflakes. It continues to roll until the
wind can no longer carry it, sometimes growing to sizes
ranging from a golf ball to a 30-gallon drum.
